Biography:
Obi-Wan Kenobi, also known as Old Ben Kenobi, is a central character in the Star Wars saga, specifically during the Original Trilogy. He first appears in Episode IV: A New Hope.
In A New Hope, Obi-Wan is living as a hermit on the desert planet Tatooine, where he is watching over a young Luke Skywalker. He is portrayed as an aging Jedi Master, a relic of a bygone era before the rise of the Galactic Empire.
Obi-Wan guides Luke, revealing his father's identity as a Jedi Knight and introducing him to the Force. He presents Luke with his father's lightsaber and urges him to join the Rebel Alliance. Obi-Wan sacrifices himself in a duel against Darth Vader, allowing Luke and his companions to escape the Death Star. Though his physical form vanishes, Obi-Wan continues to offer guidance from beyond the grave as a Force ghost.
